Intermediate Explorers

2nd - 3rd Grade

Intermediate Explorers helps children build cultural awareness, nutrition knowledge, and kitchen confidence. Intermediate Explorers includes two curricula: Connecting Food to Cultures Around the World + Local Community and Food Labeling, Advertising + Nutrients. These units explore global and local food traditions and teach children how to read labels, understand nutrients, and make thoughtful food choices. Through simple recipes, tastings, and hands-on activities, children learn how food reflects community, culture, and health while practicing safe and age-appropriate cooking skills. Educators receive the full printed curriculum along with a Food Explorers Kit that includes all essential non-disposable materials needed to teach the program.
